The Tour de Nandos - Sterling to Liverpool

In September, some enthusiastic Nandocas will cycle through every MD Region in the North from Scotland to Liverpool to raise awareness and funding for Nando’s Fighting Malaria.

Over 4 days 250 chicken-fuelled Nandocas will get involved in this epic event. Being part of more and getting sore bums all in the name of Nando’s Fighting Malaria

Over 4 days and 10 legs the route will take us from Nando’s Stirling to Nando’s Liverpool One. We will visit 22 restaurants en route and will pass through every MD region in the North. The total length of the route is 160 miles. Cumulatively, with 250 participants, we will clock up almost 4,000 miles over the 4 days. That’s enough to get across Africa!

The route has been carefully chosen to ensure that it is safe and that we encourage a range of Nandocas to take part. Whilst it will be a challenge you don’t have to be a Chris Froome or Victoria Pendleton!

The Factory Youth Zone Cycle Sportive

It’s time to don your helmets, grab some colleagues/contacts/friends /family members and put a team together to #pedalforthefactory

Teams are now available in The Factory Youth Zone Cycle Sportive – 104km across the Cheshire countryside all in aid of The Factory Youth Zone on 1st September 2017.

With the route planned by Haute Rouleurs, it promises to be a fantastic day allowing teams to get out of the office and onto the roads for a unique day out – whether it’s team building or networking – join us to take on the challenge and raise funds for The Factory.

Money raised from The Factory Youth Zone’s cycle ride helps to raise the aspirations of young people in North Manchester – The Factory continues to be vital in the current social and economic context, where young people in the poorest neighbourhoods of Manchester have become more isolated from the city’s growing prosperity.

For £500 a team, we are inviting teams of up to 5 people to take part, with cyclists meeting at Bowdon Rugby Club at 11am for a briefing from Haute Rouleurs and returning for a BBQ and celebration event at the end. Further details including the route can be found here

We aren’t setting sponsorship targets – team entry fees help pay for the safe running of the event and anything additional goes towards the total raised for The Factory. However, this is a sponsored event, we ask that teams invite friends and families to sponsor them generously to take on the challenge. (As a guideline, if every team raises £250 in sponsorship – we will hit our target for the event and continue to be able to make a difference to young lives in Manchester).

If you’d like to enter a team or have any questions at all, please get in touch with Hannah Wright Hannah.wright@thefactoryyz.org 0161 203 5333
